Summary: Where is the plant department in your supermarket? Your plants may be at risk!
Written by: Judy Feldstein

If you notice, supermarkets “usually” put their plant department right next to their fresh fruit and vegetable section. Tiny bugs & insects that can easily be washed off of food may get into the soil of the plants. Once you take these plants home, all of your plants are at risk of being infected. Soon you are going crazy swatting at little fungus gnats flying all over your house; or watching in horror as a beloved old plant, that once belonged to your grandmother, slowly becomes covered in mealy bugs that have spread from your new bargain plant.
